Dj Statik found his passion for djing at the age of 13, As time went by he would make mixtapes and give them out to classmates in High school, which gave him popularity overnight amongst his peers At the age of 17 Dj Statik was approached by a student at Rice University 90.9 ktru who happened to be the program director and offered him his own 4 hour segment on Monday nights from 8pm - 12am, After a year of dominating Monday nights DJ Statik was welcomed into the world of radio as one of the potential greatest DJ's to touch a turntable. Quickly landing his own spot Monday thru Friday “Mixtape at 8” on POWER 97.5 KRWP. DJ Statik hosted the segment featuring exclusive music, freestyles from chart topping artist, the latest Hip Hop & R & B, as well as the Markets most requested records. DJ Statik earned a Saturday New Music Mix from 6pm to 8pm, which included a host of local, independent & major R & B & Hip Hop tunes. Personal DJing credit by DJ Statik includes parties for the likes of Lisa Raye, Ill Kim, Ciara, Vivica A Fox, Bow Wow, Paris Hilton, Sean Paul, LL Cool J, MTV's Sway, Jim Jones, Julez Santana, NFL Players Inc and Solange Knowles In 2010 Dj Statik formed a brand of mixtape series titled “Feed The Streets” Which quickly became a house house hold name and led him to be one of the most sought after dj’s for clubs and mixtape hosting. As of 2012 Dj Statik’s brand “ Feed The Streets” has increased it’s demand and been utilized as an addition to break new artists and records artists such as, T Wayne (south Dallas swag), Treal Lee & Prince Rick ( thowed off ), 2 Chainz ( Spend it ), Future (Tony Montana & Magic ), Gt Mayne (SickaDat ft.
